LU LOVELESS is ALISHA CROFT

PAINTER, INTERIOR DESIGNER, WANNABE DJ, MOM

Alisha Croft (b. 1984), known artistically as Lu Loveless, is a Dallas-based painter and designer whose work bridges the worlds of fine art, architecture, and spatial storytelling. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Southern Methodist University (2011) and a Master of Architecture from Tulane University (2016).

Her creative journey has taken her from a traditional painting practice to window display to prestigious design firms, where she’s developed custom flooring, rugs, wallpaper and site-specific art installations for hospitality spaces around the world. Her experience in architecture and interior design deeply informs her art practice, and she draws inspiration from things like Bauhaus weaving, modernist architecture, traditional arts & crafts, mystical symbols and sacred geometry.

Her time spent studying, living and working in New Orleans had a profound impact on her art practice and led her to embrace an eclectic, vibrant, and lively approach to design. Never aiming for perfection, she embraces an ethos of playfulness and experimentation. Not only in design, but in life.
