Original painting "Berlin in September" depicts the colorful post-war housing developments surrounding Mauerpark in Berlin, Germany. The city boasts a large number of colorful yet austere housing communities that became an icon of domestic urban architecture in Berlin. I photographed this particular building on a crisp Autumn morning as the sun created sharp shadow lines and geometric patterns on the somewhat drab form of the building.
